In essence, meditation is a general term that has many different applications. It’s an activity where the participant quiets the mind and embraces the power and mystery of the universe in an attempt to reach a higher state of enlightenment. They are two people who choose to come together to share minds and thus realities: to enrich their experiences of life. They are mindful in their relationship and find reasons to come together rather than excuses to be apart. They are clean, meaning they are not dragging any ‘old partners’ around with them. They realize that everyone else in their lives are only there because they want them to be there; otherwise they would be a distant memory.

Today I saw a butterfly come out from it’s cocoon. It fought, it struggled, and it emerged… strong, free, vibrant, and ready to fly. Like the cocoon of the butterfly so many of us have self-imposed cocoons made up of fears. Our fears, which we create to protect us, are in many cases the barrier that is holding us back. We should pattern the actions of the butterfly and emerge from our cocoons of fear. Imagine a life in which there was no fear holding you back from what you truly want. Being able to have that life depends upon how determined you are to break free from your cocoon.

Our daily experiences suggest that we are merely physical beings having an existence in a physical universe. We are made up of living matter and are surrounded on our home planet by other living and also inert forms of matter. This matter is abundant and common–very simple stuff–apparently not possessing any supernatural qualities. It does not have any special attributes or characteristics that would suggest matter can create itself out of nothingness or that it has existed eternally.

You shouldn’t settle for an “okay” life when an “exceptional” life is possible. You shouldn’t settle for “getting through another day” when every day could be a “great” one. And over the years, I’ve discovered that a “great” day has a lot more to do with how I approach it than what actually happens to me. A “great” day is a matter of choice and not a matter of luck.

What Is Your Best?
What is the best you can give to turn your life around, make that that million dollars or lose that 30 lbs? Sometimes we appear to say that we are giving our best but in reality we are not putting in our best effort to get what we want.
When you say that you are going to give your best yet you harbor thoughts that says it is too hard to accomplish something or it will take too much effort or time to do it, most likely you will not be able to give your best effort.
