We are living in the information age now. The internet makes it easy for us to share and obtain information. This is a great benefit because we can get what we want in just a matter of milliseconds. The information age also helps people to get richer and smarter faster.
Billionaires are getting younger. Mark Zuckerberg, owner of Facebook, became a billionaire in his 20s. Alex who is 21 created history by creating a website that contains 1,000,000 pixels and selling them for $1 each. He managed to sell out each pixel and became a millionaire in the process. I have no doubt that there is a spiritual element to our world. Every culture on earth has sought to discover their existence, proclaim their ideals, and attest to their beliefs based upon some element of spiritual faith. From Mysticism, to Voodoo, to Ancient Greek Mythology, Buddhism, Christianity, the Muslim faith and so forth — all cultures have an instinctive desire to bestow meaning to life through a higher spiritual connection. Religion has important roles, on the other hand.

It’s not enough to just say “Oh, just believe and it will happen.” I think the reason why people have a hard time believing is because we’ve never done it. What I mean by that is we never really formed our own beliefs. Think about it. Trace back all your beliefs on religion, politics, money, people, society, and the world in general. You’ll find that the root of the majority of your beliefs came from outside of you, whether it was through your parents, friends, or media.

So many people have a fear of conflict. They will do just about anything to “keep the peace.” Yet you cannot avoid these types of encounters, it is just not possible. But rather than be afraid of conflict as you know it or if you just simply don’t like it, there are other ways to deal with it. Conflict is not what you think it is. In the beginning, meditation is a practice that teaches us to focus our attention on a single point, perhaps the breath or a mantra or the space between two thoughts. As we focus, we discover how many thoughts we have. We begin to see that the mind is nothing but thoughts about things, and thoughts about thoughts. The mind races without order or purpose from one thing to the next, careening from the past to the future. We also see that all of these thoughts are self-centered; that is, all of the scenes that our thoughts create have the central character of “me.”

A while ago, I was sharing the platform with Lou Holtz, one of the most successful football coaches of all time. Both of us were speaking to a large audience on the topics of success and performance, but I especially liked the way Lou got right to the bottom line. He simply said, “The most important thing I can tell you is to believe in yourself. Have faith in yourself.” In fact, he said the secret to his success as a coach … and the secret to his teams’ winning records … was self-esteem.

Our need to succeed and be perceived as competent, efficient and effective often interferes with our duty to take care of our bodies, minds and families. In fact, Fast Company’s magazine recently cited research indication that only 1 out of 10 people would actually change their lifestyle if they knew they were going to die without the making the necessary changes.

I think it’s important for parents of acting-out teens to ask themselves this question: If your teenager is abusing you verbally, calling you disgusting names and punching holes in the walls, what kind of husband or father do you think he’s going to make? Unless something dramatic happens, people stay on the course of the lives they set in motion in childhood and adolescence. And if the course of your child’s life is petty criminal behavior (starting with stealing from you), using drugs and alcohol, and intimidating everybody at home, know that this is not going to change on its...

It does not feel good to have a year passes by without achieving anything. A single year contains 365 days and when properly utilize, we can achieve tons of things. Time is our most important asset. It is possible to lose all your money and get it back but there is not a single way to get back your time after it passes you by.
The One Big Factor That Leads To Lack of Results
If a year passes you by and you felt like you had achieved nothing, it is time to reflect upon your action. I used to have a few of those years before I start my own personal development journey. It does not feel good when...
