This post has been long overdue. But it is here as promised.
Thailand is a popular tourist spot and I have seen many internet entrepreneurs visited Thailand and spent a long period of time there. I wonder what is it about Thailand that makes it such an attractive tourist spot and why so many internet entrepreneurs prefer to visit Thailand? I will never know the answers unless I visit Thailand myself and here are the answers.
This is my first visit to Thailand and I love the culture over there. The culture is so much different from Singapore and it is a change that I enjoy. I love the food over there and there are many varieties of food that are delicious and affordable. More on that later.
I also took the Tuk Tuk (a type of transport that seems like a cross between a rickshaw and a motor bike) in Thailand and it is a new experience for me. You do have to haggle the price with the driver before boarding it and sometimes it can be a little frustrating. However, It is a different and fun experience that I will never get to experience in Singapore.
There are also many markets at Thailand which are fun to tour and they sell everything that you need. Chatuchak (weekend market) sells everything that you need, ranging from clothes, food, cutleries and life size statues of animals. It seems like you can find anything that you need over there.
Dieting is something that you can forget all about it when you are in Thailand. There are so many roadside stalls that sell foods that seem delicious. The price of the food is affordable and I even paid just 40 cents (SGD) for a drumstick.
There are also foods that I can’t find in Singapore (or I didn’t know) such as coconut ice cream and a huge selection of street fares that I never seen before.
Here are some pictures:
The transport system in Thailand is good and I didn’t experience the “sardine effect” compared to the transport system in Singapore.
Note: Sardine effect = humans squeezed together in the train.
Many cafes have wifi and the hotel that I stayed in have decent wifi speed. I don’t really have to worry about not being able to find a connection to work on my blog and websites.
The cost of living in Thailand is affordable. You can easily settle a meal with just 100 baht ($4 SGD) or less if you prefer the roadside stalls (20 bath for a plate of rice which equals to $0.80). As what I had written earlier, I had a drumstick for just $0.40 cents. The massage costs just $8 for an hour. In Singapore, it costs around $40 for an hour.
I searched for a service apartment in Thailand and I found that you could have a studio apartment located at the central district for only $500 – $600 USD per month.
I had a fun trip to Thailand and I think it is a great tourist destination. This is definitely not my last time visiting there. In fact, I am planning to see whether if I can stay there for 3 weeks to a month to experience their culture. In order to do this, I need to work hard to increase my passive income through my niche sites and other products. I’m inspired to make it happen now and this is why rewards are important when you are trying to achieve your goals.
If that happens, I will update over here at HMS again. Remember to visit HMS Facebook page to receive the latest updates and be part of the HMS community. I will talk to you soon again.
Cheers,
Vincent
